We only had a late overnight stay but we were satisfied. The breakfast was good, the room was small but clean. The only thing is they REALLY need to pull up all of the old stained carpeting and replace with laminate or something easy to clean. Update; I was just looking at other recent Google reviews and there were a couple of people stating there were no protein options for breakfast. They must read the reviews because they had boiled eggs! Also, in the other reviews people posted pictures of their rooms and the floors were laminate not carpet. So maybe they are in the process of changing all the floors!
I almost don't want to review this hotel because it's such a hidden gem. I want it to be available whenever I stay! It is so clean and the customer service was amazing. The added amenities are so wonderfully unexpected as well. Randall at the front desk checked us in and was there in the morning with a smile on his face and the most warm and welcoming tone. Breakfast was free and amazing. Front desk makes popcorn in the evening. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room and a functional window. I am very picky and did a thorough cleanliness check and was delighted. I will be staying again. The location is great, about 10 minutes from downtown SUX, IA. Very close to the interstate.
