We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights (07/05/23 - 07/08/23) in room no. 1131. The first surprising thing was there were no elevators. We had to carry all our 40lbs big suitcases to 3rd floor. When we asked the front desk person for 1st floor room and he said there were no availability. Second surprising part. the carpet and sofas was very old and very dirty. Sofa was worn out. I was wondering, the daily room rate was $300 for that room type but the hotel is not ready to replace a one time $300 worth worn out sofa. I posted the sofa pics here. The breakfast and the pool were good. The walk path is not very neat. The overall stay was not worth for the money. There were better hotels in the same area for cheaper price. This is my first time stay in sonesta property and the experience was bad.

I called the hotel for reservations with an early check-in for 1 pm. The young lady said, "No problem we will see you tomorrow". Upon arriving at the hotel at 1 pm. I was told I can not check in until 4 pm. After sitting in the hot car for hours. I ask can I sit in the pool area and wait until check-in. I was told, not without paying additional money. But at this time, they stated that a room with a $25 fee is ready (3pm). The room furniture is old and has tears with holes in it. The carpet floor looks dirty. This hotel is not the same since the new owners and management took over. The excuse is, under staff and the furniture is outdated until next year's budget kicks in to purchase new furniture. Motel 6 has better rooms.
