Azerai Ke Ga Bay is a stunning resort set against a working fishermen beach in Bình Thuận province, just 3 hours from Saigon. We spent five incredible days there. The rooms are generous and well-appointed, the restaurant is delicious and the pools are beautiful. We made the most of the facilities- the gym, massages and even a sail in the hotel catamaran - but reading by the infinity pool that won out every time. It’s a beautiful location, a short coastal walk to the oldest and tallest lighthouse in Vietnam. While there are prettier beaches in the region, I loved observing the fishermen at work (and trying the catch of the day - cobia or flying fish in the evening). The service was excellent. From the dragon fruit juice on arrival to the coconut cake left on our bed in the evening, not to mention things materialising in our room almost before we realised we needed them, from chamomile tea for jet lag, to fresh aloe vera for sunburns. We felt incredibly welcome and were treated like special guests from the moment we arrived until our airport transfer on the final day. More than anything I loved the minimalist design - simple luxury that eschews the ostentatious and lets the local environment shine. The resort disappears into the landscape, the gardens flirt with lush wilderness, and birdsong is everywhere. We will definitely return!
