Reviews based on Breakfast
Very nice hotel/apartments, with great rooftop restaurant/bar for sunrise and night view of West lake. The only negatives are: 1. hot water becomes cold after 10 minutes, 2. breakfast is bad by Vietnam hotel standard.
Stayed for 3 nights here after staying in the Old Quarters area. LOCATION: Picked this place well aware of its not-so-near distance from the Old Quarters. That said, you'll be able to find the necessary things like food, pharmacy, and more - the hotel is surrounded by plenty of shops. If you don't mind living further away from the city which takes around 10-15 mins Grab ride, and wish to live closer to the West Lake, this place isn't too bad considering the comfortable stay. ROOM & VIEW Was given the corner room - it was only 500 sqft but to was extremely impressed with the layout and spatial design - it didn't feel claustrophobic. In fact there was a coziness to it that made it felt more like home than a hotel. Noticed a load of Japanese channels on the TV which made me realized the hotel was Japanese themed. From its TV channels down to its smart, space-saving interior design. Things offered in the room which stood out: 1. A curtained partition rail that's available to separate the bed from the living area 2. A comfortable living area despite the small space 3. A foldable dining table that can be retracted into the built-in pantry 4. A HUGE pantry with built-in electronic stoves and even a rice cooker 5. Generous wardrobe space adjoint to the pantry 6. Huge storage space for at least 12 pairs of adult shoes 7. Smart drainage/gutter design in the toilet that ensures water splashes from the shower/tub don't overflow into the toilet bowl/sink area. 8. The restaurant situated on the roof-level offers a great 180-degree view of the city and overlooks the West Lake. Indoor and outdoor seatings are available. 9. Reception was friendly and helpful. Things which weren't the best but are passable, thanks to the pros above: 1. Shower head is installed directly above the bathtub. Takes a little effort to climb into the tub for showers (maybe not be the safest for older folks, though hand rails are readily available). 2. Room cleaning service comes early around 9am, which was considerably early. 3. My room view was obstructed by neighbouring apartments but it was not a big deal. The comfy room helped draw my attention away. 4. The main entrance to the hotel lobby is a short flight of stairs. However, there is a lift via the motorcycle parking area for guests to use. This is a plus for those with heavier luggages, or are disabled and have challenges using even a short flight of stairs. The breakfast food was sub-par. I took the breakfast option because it was cheaper than the non-breakfast stay. But if the breakfast option is more expensive, then I would pass on it.
