South Beach Camps Bay Boutique Hotel

We stayed at South Beach in Camps Bay for 8 nights. The hotel is located at the top end of Camps Bay just off the main beach road. All the rooms have views of the sea. |We stayed in a Deluxe room which was very large. It had a kitchen area with everything you need, plus a seated area and large king size bed. The bathroom was oversized and had a large bath plus a walk in shower. |The room had everything you needed and each morning they restocked the fridge with a nice selection of breakfast items like bread, yogurt, milk, cheese, bacon, ham and pastries. |There are some nice touches in the hotel, one being that they came and gave people round the pool area ice creams in the afternoon. They have two pool areas, they are both small but nice and the top one has a bar that serves drinks and food.|The staff were really helpful and organised things before we arrived and when we were there.|The main negative is the load sharing, which means that you only have limited power available during this time. The hotel has its own system to cater but not everything functions which is a pain. I appreciate the hotel don’t have control of the power situation but when you are not used to this it is a pain.||The beach is a short stroll away and somewhere you have to visit. ||I was surprised by the number of homeless and beggers on the main beach road, it can be a bit intimidating at night when you are walking back as they follow you and ask for money. We stopped walking after the second night to avoid this so please bear this in mind if going out for dinner or drinks in the evening.||All in all South Beach is a great hotel in a good location with good facilities and for Camps Bay we found the price reasonable.
